    Porch Building
Last month we have finished another interesting project. This time we were asked to extend a single storey house and build a new porch.

Though the project was agreed to be finished in 6 weeks, the job was completed within the budget in 4 weeks. The owner was happy with the work completed.

We carried out the following jobs in this project:

    • Muck away
    • Dug out Footings
    • Build foundations
    • Build Damp Course DPC
    • Lay Brick and Blocks to create shell
    • Build roof Trusts
    • Felt and Batten and tile roof
    • Build Suspended wooden floor
    • Install window and doors to (FENSA) standard
    • Build Stud partitions
    • 1st fix - All electrics (NICEIC standard) and pipe work
    • Fit Plasterboard
    • Re-skim walls and ceiling
    • 2nd fix - All Fixtures and Fittings
The customers, Angela and Ken Thompson, kindly commented on our work:

Getting the builders in may make you apprehensive at the best of times, but when you have a new baby, other children and a busy agenda, it’s even more of a worry. Well, you couldn’t hope for a better crew. They were respectful of our needs and the end result was impressive.

Mick, the foreman, has the know-how and he runs a happy team. Tommy is cracking at the ground work. Martin is fearless at roofing. The other boys get stuck in. They work tremendously hard, fast and well. They attend to detail. They are experienced and professional. They talk straight and do the job.

Kevin is the boss. He runs a tight ship and deals promptly with any unforeseen situations. Despite the need for some additional work beyond the original remit, they still managed to finish comfortably ahead of schedule. and all for a very competitive price.

This is as smooth as it gets. A rarity in the business. They come highly recommended.
