According to the survey by TrustMark pregnant woment in the UK spend £½ billion on house renovations every year. On average every British family spent £870 to prepare home for their new baby. Home improvements are in the list of preparations for 80% of expectant parents in Britain. And only 16% of them had checked their builders for references. Yorkshire & Humberside turned out to be the most careless – 91% of pregnant mothers didn’t check up on the tradespeople they used. The South West performed best with 26% checking for references.
